Wolfville

cafe
This was the second coffeehouse to open and is housed in a Cinema in the center of the town of Wolfville. This was a very special community project where we partnered with the Acadia Cinema Co-op formed to develop a theatre and film space. This café has a diverse crowd that visits, and has brought back a very important social place at the heart of our town. The Wolfville Coffeehouse is found at 450 Main Street, Wolfville, Nova Scotia, off exit 10 from Grand Pré, or Exit 11 from Greenwich.

Jack's Gallery is a shared venture of the Just Us! Wolfville Coffeehouse and the Acadia Cinema Co-op, located in the back lobby of the coffeehouse at the entrance to the Al Whittle Theatre. Funded in part by Youth Challenge International (www.yci.org), this newly beautified art space encourages the participation of Valley artists of all ages and levels of experience. YCI is a nonprofit organization that involves youth in community-based projects in developing countries. We honour their support by encouraging the participation of youth.

By holding regular opening gala nights, we aim to bring under-represented artists into the public domain where they can share their personal visions and benefit financially from their efforts.

The new gallery submission form is now available. If you are a young artist (age 15-35) in the Annapolis Valley interested in using your creativity as a way to be active in your community, Jack's Gallery invites you to send us your art for your next exhibit! Deadline is February 20, 2009. For more information, please e-mail jacksgallerywolfville@gmail.com.
