An astonishing and dark post-fermented tea. The small, slightly twisted dark brown leaves dotted with golden tips develop unexpected flavours during their manufacture. Amber and bright, the infusion is initially very delivate on the palate before gently staking a fuller, rounder claim.
Autumn vegetable flavours rub shoulders with mineral notes punctuated by a slight hint of chestnut. A singular tea.

China / Hunan
The Guzhang Gaofeng cooperative comprises 133 hectares of tea bushes in the Chinese Hunan province. The 52 members are small producers from the Miao and Tujia ethnic minorities and live in two different villages: Pan Cao and Lijiadong. Some of them also grow maize or tobacco, which is sold at local market, but their speciality remains the manufacturing of pearl-shaped teas.
